Privacy Policy — RoGuard

Overview

RoGuard ("we", "us", "our") operates roguard.org. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using RoGuard, you agree to the practices described here.

RoGuard is a parental monitoring tool for Roblox. It is intended for use by parents and legal guardians only. It is not intended for use by children under 13.

What we collect

Account information: Your email address and password (passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text).
Child profile data: Your child's Roblox username, display name, avatar image, and bio — fetched from Roblox's public API.
Activity data: Game session history (game name, duration, timestamps), friends list, and Roblox groups — all sourced from Roblox's public API.
Payment information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Alert preferences: Your email notification settings.

How we use your data

To provide the RoGuard monitoring dashboard and its features.
To send email alerts you have opted into (bio flags, new friends, late night sessions, weekly digest).
To process subscription payments through Stripe.
To improve the service and fix bugs.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

RoGuard uses the following third-party services to operate:

Roblox API — We read publicly available data from Roblox's API. RoGuard is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation.
Supabase — Our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on Supabase's servers.
Stripe — Payment processing. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
Resend — Email delivery for alerts and notifications.
Vercel — Website hosting.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Session history and activity logs are stored for up to 30 days for Pro users and 7 days for Free users.

If you delete your account, all of your data — including child profiles, session history, and alerts — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
You can update your email alert preferences at any time from Settings.
You can request a copy of your data by emailing us at support@roguard.org.

Children's privacy

RoGuard is designed for parents and legal guardians who are monitoring their own children's Roblox activity. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The child profile data we collect (username, avatar, activity) is entered by the parent and sourced from Roblox's public API.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically an authentication session cookie so you stay logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of RoGuard after changes means you accept the updated policy.
